About Jeff Essex
Founded in 1992, Audiosyncrasy is owned and operated by Jeff Essex, a third-generation professional musician. A veteran of Macromind and Macromedia, he served as Tech Support Lead for Director and SoundEdit.
He's also an award-winning author. "Multimedia Sound and Music Studio" was published by Random House for the Apple New Media Library, and won the prestigious Computer Press Award for Best Advanced How-To Book.
Jeff's audio UI work helped Digeo win an Emmy Award for their Moxi Media Center. He is credited on over 50 CD-ROM titles, and has four Communication Arts Interactive Design awards hanging on his trophy wall. He's a frequent speaker at national conferences, including the Game Developers Conference, Audio Engineering Society, Macromedia UCON and the Apple WWDC. He's also an active participant in the major interactive audio industry groups: Project Bar-B-Q, IASIG and GANG.
